REGULATE THE NERVOUS SYSTEM AND HEAL THE GUT

Think like your Autonomic Nervous System so you can better work with it, not against it, to promote healing of your gut.

January 19, 2024 – February 23, 2024
Fridays 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

We will meet via Zoom for 90 minutes on Fridays from 9-10:30 am EST on January 19 & 26 and February 2, 9, 16, & 23. Please note: If you miss a class, there will be no recording to watch or make-up class.

This 6-Week Class with Psychologist Dr. Jennifer Franklin is for people diagnosed with disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI) like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Chronic Constipation, Chronic Dyspepsia, and Cyclic Vomiting.

Class Curriculum

Participation in this class requires 1½ hours of time the first week and about 2½ hours of time for the other five weeks. Participants will watch or listen to one part of the Don’t Hate Your Guts Five-Part Brain-Gut Connection course on their own. Zoom class meetings with Dr. Franklin each week offer time to discuss the material covered in the course and support you in your learning and healing. Specific instructions will be given to participants to help stimulate right-brain processing. (We will discuss what right-brain processing means, too.) This class is not group therapy or group process, and it is not a substitute for psychotherapy. Click the link above to see what people have said about the Brain-Gut Connection online course.

Testimonials

“I finished watching the webinar — great job! I was really impressed with the depth of knowledge on this topic you have and I feel that I learned a lot – I love learning about polyvagal theory and I appreciated your “deep dive” and how intricately involved with the gut it all is…fascinating and makes so much sense!”

~Psychologist

“My teenager developed early signs of a mind-gut disorder. Watching Dr Franklin’s series together was the perfect first step for us to articulate the problem. I especially appreciated how Dr Franklin handled the nuance between medical illness, psychological distress, and the nervous system. I would highly recommend this series for others who are looking to help a loved one understand the mind-gut connection.”
